Semester Three Summary
Goals & Objectives
I feel I met my goal of continuing to build on the foundation of knowledge in the nursing field. I gained a great deal of experience in the clinical skills in which I have been trained thus far. I learned so much about OB and Pediatrics. I was able to get three rotations in OB. I feel like I gained so much knowledge from my nurses and my experience in the OB unit. I absolutely loved it!
Education
I completed NSG 231 Concepts in Nursing III and NSG 233 Perinatal and Women’s Health Nursing

Clinical Performance Evaluations
I completed all of my clinical paperwork, including Simchart. Simchart was a learning experience. Although it was difficult to navigate, I feel I did pretty well. I received all satisfactory marks on my paperwork. I feel that I continued to improve with each submission.
Presentations
I presented a peer teaching project on Preeclampsia to my clinical group. I also presented a group presentation on the Hawaiian culture related to pregnancy in NSG 233.

Semester Two Summary
Goals & Objectives
I feel I met my goal of continuing to build on the foundation of knowledge in the nursing field. I think there will always be more knowledge to gain in the medical field. I have enjoyed learning about all the various disease processes, and there is still so much more to learn.
Education
I completed NSG 132 and Pharmacology N210
New Skills & Competencies
Clinical Performance Evaluations
I completed all of my clinical paperwork. I received all satisfactory marks on my paperwork. I feel the areas of most improvement were on the Gordon’s Functional Patterns area and correlating the labs with the disease and the medications.
Presentations
I presented a Renal Diet teaching plan to my clinical group. I presented a group presentation on Cardiac Arrhythmias to the entire class.
Community Service/Volunteerism

I feel I met my first semester goals of gaining a foundation of knowledge in nursing on which I can build on in second semester. I worked hard to achieve the tools I needed to succeed in first semester theory and in the clinical setting.
Education
I completed NSG 131
New Skills and Competencies
Head to Toe Assessment, Medication Administration, Sterile Technique, Oxygenation Administration, Wound Care, Catheterization, Ostomy Care, NG Tube Insertion/Removal, NG Tube Feeding, Med Admin through NG Tube, Gastrostomy Tube Care, and Injections (IM, Subcu, & Intradermal)
Clinical Performance Evaluations
The majority of the comments on my clinical evaluations were satisfactory. I had a couple of “needs improvement”, but I was able to improve on those areas. Overall, there was much improvement from the beginning of the semester of clinical to the end.
